Hey everyone! Tommi here, from Australia. I've created this community to help Catholic men overcome pornography / sex addiction through building a structured prayer life around the sacraments of the Church. I myself struggled with this addiction for over 10+ years of my life until I finally got clean by learning to love God more than I loved the sin. (This is what I'll teach you to do as well) My mission is to help as many men as I possibly can to break free from these golden chains of addiction while also spreading awareness on just how poisonous this habit really is. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and being a part of your recovery journey. Look I’ll be honest, joining a group like this and taking the first steps to overcome this porn addiction is definitely uncomfortable This has been a struggle for me for about 5 years now but I’m willing to do whatever it takes to get clean This is the only Catholic group I’ve ever seen that teaches this stuff so I’m extremely grateful to be here I’m currently discerning priesthood so I know this is something I need to surrender to Christ asap before he can trust me with more responsibility Excited to see where this journey takes me. Hi all, my name is David and I’m based in Houston Texas. I’ve been speaking with Tommi over Instagram for a few weeks now about receiving help with my sex and pornograohy addiction because it’s basically destroyed my marriage and also relationship with god For me it’s been a problem since I was about 15yrs old, and yesterday I just celebrated my 45th birthday…. So that’s about 30yrs of addiction which is embarrassing to admit because I never thought it would get this bad… I’ve been away from the church for many years but I’m slowly starting to find my feet again and it feels great to take this first step back towards Jesus. I might be a little older than most here but Im aware I’ve got lots to learn. Open to any advice and tips anyone has for me 🤙
