Inverter Grid Loss due to unmet grid and environmental parameters.
Recently, we’ve been seeing frequent alarms like “Grid Loss” or “Grid Parameters Not Met” situations where voltage or frequency step outside the inverter’s allowable range. Each time that happens, the inverter disconnects for protection, and that means lost energy yield and interrupted plant output. This has been a tough reality especially in regions where the grid is still evolving, or where environmental conditions like heat and dust push inverter performance limits. Some ways we try to tackle this include Fine-tuning inverter settings (within grid code limits) to improve fault ride-through. This sometimes works and other times the inverter comes on after restarting. I’d love to hear how you are managing recurring Grid Loss alarms in your plants?
