🚀 Your Skills Are More Valuable Than You Think: Turn Them Into Government Contracts
🚀 Your Skills Are More Valuable Than You Think: Turn Them Into Government Contracts Many entrepreneurs believe they need a huge company to win federal contracts. The truth is, many government opportunities start with small purchases—and your existing experience, licenses, certifications, and business skills may already qualify you to compete. A Capability Statement is your business résumé for government agencies. It tells contracting officers who you are, what you do, and why they should work with you. Here are just a few industries that can pursue government opportunities: ✅ Human Resources and Recruiting ✅ Insurance and Risk Management ✅ Information Technology (IT) Services ✅ Administrative and Virtual Assistant Services ✅ Training and Professional Development ✅ Compliance and Auditing ✅ Transportation and Logistics ✅ Construction and Maintenance ✅ Marketing and Graphic Design ✅ Web Design and Website Development ✅ Security Services ✅ Childcare and Youth Services ✅ Janitorial and Facility Services ✅ Cybersecurity ✅ Healthcare and Medical Support The next step is identifying the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code(s) that best match your services. Your NAICS codes help government agencies find your business when they’re looking for qualified vendors. Your Capability Statement should include: • Company Overview • Core Competencies • Key Differentiators • Past Performance • Licenses, Certifications, and Professional Memberships • Contact Information • UEI (Unique Entity Identifier) and CAGE Code (when applicable) • Relevant NAICS Codes You don’t have to start with million-dollar contracts. Many successful government contractors began by winning small contracts, building experience, and growing their business one opportunity at a time. ❤️ Love what you do and get paid to truly do it. Your skills, passion, and experience can become a business that serves your community while creating financial freedom for you and your family. Today’s Challenge:

🇩🇪 Trusting the Plan While Walking the Journey 💚
Being in Germany is another chapter of the journey—not a reason to stop the plan. I’m learning to trust the process, stay disciplined, and keep my attention on the short-term goals that are connected to my long-term vision. 🎯 My current mission: - Continue earning my professional certifications - Complete my Master of Business Administration (MBA) - Strengthen my knowledge, systems, and business infrastructure. - I’m approaching this season with a Lean Six Sigma mindset: Define. Measure. Analyze. Improve. Control. Every certification is another capability. Every class is another building block. Every lesson is another opportunity to improve the process. Every completed goal moves me closer to being contract-ready. I don’t have to accomplish everything at once. I need to remain consistent with the process. Short-term goals → Long-term strategy → Measurable results. Germany is part of the journey. 🇩🇪 Education is part of the journey. 🎓 Certification is part of the journey. 📚 Government and commercial contracting are part of the destination. 📑 💚 Trust the plan. Work the process. Measure the progress. Keep improving. Who else is working on a short-term goal that is building toward something much bigger? #TrustTheProcess #LeanSixSigma #ContinuousImprovement #MBAJourney #ProfessionalDevelopment #GovernmentContracting #ContractReady #Q4Goals #Entrepreneurship #SkoolCommunity

🇩🇪 SOFA Business Success Germany — Weekly Update!
What a productive week for our military spouse and transitioning service member community! 💪🏽🇺🇸🇩🇪 This week has been about connections, transition, certifications, and turning military-connected experience into business opportunities. ✨ This Week’s Wins & Updates We connected with a transitioning service member and discussed a pathway from Boots to Business → Revenue Readiness → Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) → APEX Accelerator to begin building toward veteran-owned business readiness and future government contracting opportunities. We also discussed how military leadership and transferable soft skills can be strengthened with professional certifications such as: 🎓 Six Sigma — Process improvement, efficiency, and problem-solving 🎓 Project Management Professional (PMP) — Project leadership, planning, execution, and accountability 🎓 Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) — Workforce leadership, people management, and organizational development These skills can also support professional training and consulting opportunities aligned with NAICS 611430 – Professional and Management Development Training. 🤝 New Military Spouse Connection in Ansbach! I also connected with another military spouse stationed in USAG Ansbach and invited her to learn more about our SOFA Business Success Germany community. One of the biggest goals of this community is making sure military spouses don’t have to build alone—especially when arriving at a new duty station. My hope is that our Ansbach spouses can connect, network, share resources, and help one another navigate entrepreneurship while living overseas. 🌍 Our Mission Continues We are creating a pathway for military spouses, veterans, and transitioning service members to: Connect → Learn → Become Business Ready → Build Revenue → Pursue Opportunities Whether you’re starting a business, transferring an existing business overseas, pursuing certifications, or preparing for government contracting, there is a resource and a pathway to help you move forward.
