🥃 The Society’s Sunday Experience 🥃
Fellow members, Today's meeting has been an absolute success with 7 members appearing at the meeting for at least 90 minutes. We enjoyed the whole event, it was full of laughs. We successfully tested for the first time the recording tool within the call so I made a short recording to share it with you while Nicholas was telling us his "Big Trouble in China" live experiences. I’ve also tested a tool (within the skool app as seeing in the video) that lets you change your background. In the future, I will record every call I'm part of to later upload it in a dedicated space within the Society for every member willing to get an update on what was discussed or what made us laugh. Here's the video recording and a couple of pictures. Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Begin Here: The Society of Ordinary Gentlemen
The Society of Ordinary Gentlemen, the O.G.’s of Gentlemanly Behavior, was created to provide a haven where gentlemen and ladies can communicate with each other in a polite and courteous setting. While many discussions will center around genteel behavior, humor, fashion, food, mental and physical well-being, and the active mentoring of a new generation of gentlemen, no topic of discussion is off limits provided the discussion is conducted within the Code of Conduct of the Society. The Society of Ordinary Gents is not a platform for recruiting members into sub-groups, special membership groups, or educational or financial opportunities. Poachers, Charlatans, or Internet Self-Help Gurus will be banned. The Society is not going to teach you how to be James Bond, John Wick, or the secret methods to make women want you. The Society is not a for-profit group or business. Essentially, The Society of Ordinary Gents is the online equivalent of friends enjoying a cigar, a bourbon and the company of others, as we discuss meaningful and trivial matters sitting in comfortable chairs. 🕯 Yuletide & Festive Loneliness 🥂
Gentlemen, Dames As the tinsel goes up, so too — one observes — does the general sense of existential despair. It’s quite all right to acknowledge this. We all feel it. December, for all its glitter and glühwein, is a treacherous month for the solitary man. The shops overflow with couples in matching knitwear. Invitations abound, yet somehow all lead to events titled “Merry and Married.” Even the wine begins to taste smug — much like those Christmas cards, plastered with faux-happy family photos and a Labrador in antlers. And to compound the matter — as if the universe were actively conspiring — His Grace’s football (“soccer”) team has entered into what can only be described as a tactical winter hibernation, languishing at the wrong end of the Premier League, with a festive fixture list that promises further psychological ruin. It is, one might say, a perilous time for morale. So let it be known: Christmas is not, in fact, the most wonderful time of the year. For many of us, it is a brutal reminder that one is not in Saint‑Tropez, not in love, and not — despite heroic efforts — anywhere near the top four. So what is a gentleman to do? He is to rally. He is to send for cigars. He is to check on his comrades. He is to pour a generous port and raise it — not to sentiment, but to sovereignty. The Society of Ordinary Gentlemen should hold the line this season, and I encourage us all to connect more. I shall be available for chats, dispatches, and perhaps a festive conference call — accompanied by an iced bottle of Veuve Clicquot from my Spanish hacienda, where I shall be restoring myself, most likely by the pool. This is our Dunkirk. So if you see a fellow member adrift this December — do not let him drift. Send a message. Extend a hand. After all, a gentleman does not let another gentleman go mad alone in December. Rene
Get to stepping
Good morning gentlemen, I hope that this post finds everyone in great spirits and staying warm and dry. There have been a lot of men posting about getting shoes re done or re furbished. Granted if you paid a lot for the shoes you are going to want to keep them in the best possible condition. Now granted just because they might not be name brand or $500.00-$1000.00 does not mean you don’t need to take care of them. Actually this is just the opposite. Shoe care and maintenance is very important. This is not just for the shoes themselves, but for your feet as well. Wearing shoes in inclement weather cause the shoes to become soaked with water, snow, and if you’re in areas where they use salt to melt ice this is really detrimental to your shoes. So protecting your shoes is vital. I recommend in areas where you have heavy rain, water, and especially where salt is present I recommend wearing galoshes overcoat shoes to protect them. Also many like to use quick shine shoe sponges to get a nice gloss on their shoes. This is good for quick shine, but for long lasting protection you need to use shoe paste or a form of polish agent to place on them to protect them. Daily bushing with a brush to knock off the dirt is also important as well. The more you keep your shoes dry and free of dirt and grime the longer they will last. I would also recommend have at least two pairs of shoes for every shoe that you have that you wear on a daily basis, this way you can rotate you shoes giving your shoes time to dry and conform to their original shape. By taking them off and placing shoe trees in them will Keep their shape and allow them to dry in the correct shape. A great rule of thumb is to brush your shoes when you take them off daily, and then once the week or on whatever day you’re off do a deep cleaning and apply shoe polish. While you’re doing this, it is the perfect time to examine your shoes for holes, spots, afraid laces, or anything for you to l repair or replace what is needed.

🧮Mathematics Day🧮 Exploring patterns, solving puzzles, and understanding the world through numbers – it's a journey of discovery that's endlessly fascinating. Mathematics plays a crucial role in understanding all sorts of subjects such as science, music, social studies and even art. The study of mathematics helps people to learn better problem solving skills and serves as a way to help humans organize and think logically. Mathematics Day is here to celebrate and appreciate everything that this discipline has to offer to individuals and to the world at large. 🧮History of Mathematics Day🧮 Originating in India, the day is particularly centered around one man. In fact, the reason Mathematics Day is set on December 22 is because it is the birthday of the country’s most respected mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan. A math genius of the highest degree, Ramanujan was born in 1887 and spent his life under British rule in India. In spite of the fact that he had almost no training in mathematics, Ramanujan made some important contributions to the discipline, including number theory, infinite series, mathematical analysis, and continued fractions. Ramanujan’s original mathematical research and theories were born in isolation, as his work was far too advanced and novel for the mathematicians of his day to work with him. However, through correspondence with an English math professor at the University of Cambridge, Ramanujan became more connected and eventually moved to England and became the first Indian Fellow at Trinity College in Cambridge. Ramanujan’s life was cut short at age 32 when he died in 1920 of complications from a disease he had earlier in his childhood. Even after his death, his contributions were important, especially when a lost notebook of his was found more than 50 years after his death, in 1976. Now, Mathematics Day is here to appreciate and celebrate the life of Srinivasa Ramanujan and his contributions to the world. The introduction of Mathematics Day by the Indian government happened in 2011, in the lead up to what would be the celebration of the125th anniversary of Ramanujan’s birth in 2012. That same year, the Indian government released a commemorative stamp in his honor.
