I remember Jessie Lee saying " I promise the good humans with heart really do win. If you haven't won, its not over."
Release the pressure of yourself and conversations. You are not looking for people and building connections to sell and spam the heck out of them.
You are engaging with people as the good human you are. You are being the light for them by cheering them on. The world needs that right now.
You are celebrating their wins. You are helping their people when you can and being their cheerleader too.
Let me give you an example.
If you have looked at the idea course for digital products you would have seen the super cute calmlings brand.
I noticed over the past week that people have been ripping off their little characters. Every time I saw it, I tagged the real creator Calmlings and told people they stole the character.
I was just helping and doing the right thing as it sucks as a creator to have your hard work stolen.
Out of the blue last night I recieved a message from their team thanking me for caring and they gave me a free gift as a thank you.
They also followed me. Please get this, a brand with a million+ followers followed me (with only 550 followers) all because I helped them with no agenda. In my wildest dreams I never saw this coming.
Stop having an agenda with conversations and going into it trying to sell people. Yes look for your type of people on social media but do it through the lens of community building.
Selling is the side effect of being a good human. If you pitch someone and you have an agenda, they feel the insincerity and not only have you lost a potential sale, you have lost the people they could have referred you too.
Remember on social media, we are social and we post media (content) that shows us the person and who we are. We are creating a community where people belong and they keep coming back looking for you.
When we are social, we not only give our content the chance to get more visibility but we build relationships with people who could in their time refer us and change everything for us.
Also we build a community of people like us who can help stay one more day on the hard days.
