Tried something new for candidate outreach — surprisingly worked well
Not sure if anyone else has been struggling with getting qualified candidates lately, but for me the last few weeks were rough. I was spending hours every day messaging people on LinkedIn, sending follow-ups, checking resumes, and still ending up with a lot of unqualified leads. Felt like 80% of my time was just admin work. So I decided to experiment with a more automated approach, just to see what happens. What I Did I built a simple setup that: - Sends personalized messages to candidates automatically - Follows up if they don’t reply - Checks if they match basic criteria (experience, location, etc.) - And if they’re a fit, it just sends them a Calendly link to book a quick call All I do now is upload a list of candidates once a day and check my inbox for booked calls. The Result I went from messaging around 100 people manually → to 500+ messages/day running automatically. And the best part — I’m now only speaking with people who are actually a match. It freed up a few hours every day and I’ve already made a couple of placements from it. Just Curious Is anyone else here experimenting with some form of automation or smarter follow-up system?Would love to hear what’s working for you guys too. If anyone’s interested, I can show a quick screenshot of how I set mine up (it’s super simple — nothing too techy).

Curious — what’s the biggest challenge you’re seeing in recruitment right now?
What’s Your Secret to Higher Response Rates?
Hello everyone, just wondered if anyone has one little trick they’ve learned that actually improves response rates when reaching out to prospects?
Recruitment Automation pricing
Hey guys, bit of a niche ask been asked by a business to provide automation consulting to a recruiting business for £10 per hour, 10 Hours per week. Scope of services I’ve proven i can do but no social proof yet, anyone able to give some advice on industry standards or for general consulting and how to price? Thanks!
How to find CEOs that are actually hiring right now
Hey everyone — something I kept running into when doing outreach is that a lot of the companies I’d contact either weren’t hiring at all, or already had an internal recruiter. I know I’m not the only one here who’s felt that frustration. Last week I tested out a system that solved this for me, and now I can build a list of CEOs who are actively looking for talent. Best part — it costs less than $20/month to run. Here’s the breakdown: 1. Use Make.com. This ties everything together. I set it up to run weekly, so every week I automatically get a fresh batch of leads that I know are in the market for new hires. 2. Apify + Anymail Finder. Apify scrapes job postings from LinkedIn, then Anymail Finder helps me pull the right decision maker’s email address. 3. Perplexity AI. If you grab an API key, you can plug it into Make. It researches each company and writes a quick personalized icebreaker, so your outreach feels genuine instead of copy-paste. 4. Send it to your CRM or Google Sheet. That way your emails and data are organized and ready for your campaigns. So now, instead of guessing who might need recruiting help, I’m reaching out only to CEOs that I know are actively trying to fill positions. Makes outreach a lot smoother and a lot more effective. Hope this helps someone here — let me know if you want me to clarify any part of the setup 🙏
