This community has been built by me (soberlifetom) off the back of years of suffering at the hands of drink and drugs. I grew up with ADHD, was diagnosed and then slowly realised I’d been self medicating for so long. I’ve always been an extrovert and never ever known what to do with my life. I’ve had about 25 jobs and I hate being told what to do. All I’ve ever known is that I like making people laugh, supporting people, being generous and loving my friends and family. I’ve realised if I am gonna become what I need to become, I need to help YOU. And that could mean, help you laugh, cry or hopefully get sober and feel positive about doing so. There’s this huge stigma around getting sober being boring and initially it can be, but nothing is inherently “boring”, joy and excitement can be extracted from almost anything if your head is in the game. So let’s play this game of life.
