Hi, everyone. How are we all doing? You can read this or watch the video.
Well, I can tell you now that Mercury retrograde is still kicking me up the pants!
I was doing so well until I decided I’d record this on Zoom. But let’s see if I can do what I’ve been trying to do… and it wouldn’t let me.
So, you’re going to be my guinea pigs today!
We’re here to cover a couple of things. First, I have a question for you, then I’m going to talk about the referral winner, and we’ll get to that.
Let me just see if this is going to work… oops, wrong one. Let’s try this.
I normally am able to set all of this up beforehand, but this time it just would not let me. I know other people are having all these issues too, but honestly, I think it’s taken the mickey out of me now and I’m done!
It’s one of those moments where you’re thinking, “I have so much to do and so little time,” but here we are.
So before I carry on waffling, let’s dive into the classrooms.
Now, I know this is not an area that you visit often.
Why not?
You don’t know what you’re missing!
For starters, we’ve got all our Getting Started instructions, and I’m not going to go into those today.
We also have information if you’re having a summit.
We also always, when I remember, put the current edition of the Weekly Bulletin here, so you don’t have to scroll through the posts to find it. You’ll always find the latest one here.
Then we have all the events that are happening for the week.
The idea of this classroom is that you can search under the categories to make things easier.
So if you’re here to browse events, you don’t have to scroll endlessly through the feed because, let’s be honest, that can be a nightmare, can’t it?
Instead, you can come in here, look under the different topics, and see what is happening.
We’ve got quite a few networking and masterminding events this week, along with some brilliant business-building events. Definitely have a look at those.
Not to forget our financial and abundance events — because who doesn’t want some of that?
We’ve also got parenting events. I think Celia has some brilliant ones on this week.
Then we have health events too. This one caught my eye — yogic exercises for apnea and snoring.
And we all know somebody who needs that!
Des asked me, “Well, who do you know?”
I’m not saying anything anyway!
But my main question for you is this…
I am going to promote this more, but do you actually use this?
I really need some feedback because we are working on things behind the scenes to remove friction and make things easier.
I don’t mind putting the work in, but if people aren’t using it, then I need to review it and understand what we can do better.
So if you can let me know in the comments:
Do you use this?
Did you even know about it?
And there is absolutely nothing wrong if you didn’t know about it. It just means I need to bring you here more often and show you what is available.
The other thing I wanted to show you was the spin wheel.
And I cannot figure out how to get it from where it is to here!
I did an update because I thought that was causing the problems, and it has just created more problems.
So you will find the winner of this week’s referral competition there.
You’ll spin the wheel yourself, press play, and you’ll see who the winner is.
But congratulations to them!
This means you get a full page in the Skool Events Weekly Bulletin, and you get it all to yourself.
You can talk about yourself, your community, and of course, your events.
Now, one thing I’ve noticed is when I say “talk about yourself,” people actually don’t.
They forget that they are a person.
They’re not just their community or their event.
And what I really want to share with you is that people want to know who you are.
They want to know what qualifies you, but also how you’re going to help them achieve the outcome you provide.
But also… share some personal things about you.
People are fascinated by the things we’ve done.
When I tell people I used to be a detective in the UK Police, they’re like, “Oh my God, tell me more!”
“I bet you’ve seen some interesting things.”
Well, yes, I have!
I’ve done lots of interesting things.
But the point is — talk about you as the person, not just as the community leader.
People will connect with you so much more if they can relate to you.
So when you do your page, consider that.
Tell a little bit of your story.
Not just your community story — your personal story.
So I think that’s all my news.
Oh no… one more thing!
I’m not quite going to give it away just yet, but Des and I talked a little bit about this last night.
I’m hoping we’ll confirm things a bit more tonight when we discuss it further.
But we have something exciting happening in relation to our tiers.
We’re going to be bringing in something new, and it’s going to improve things for a lot of people.
And no… I better not say anything more because I’m just going to give it away!
So I’ll zip it.
I’m going back to work and fighting the Mercury retrograde.
Thanks for tuning in, and I’ll catch you all very, very soon.
Bye-bye.
