A Small Habit That Changes the Whole Culture
A warm little reminder for all of us (me included): “Like what you appreciate.”
One of the simplest ways to give more than you take in a community is to reward the people who are showing up.
I’ve been noticing something in a lot of communities that we read a really good post, we might even comment… but we don’t always hit the like.
And I get it! We are sometimes moving too fast or sometimes we forget. But that one small click can mean so much.
A like is a quiet way of saying:
  • “I see you.”
  • “Thank you for taking the time.”
  • “That helped me.”
  • “Please keep sharing.”
So here’s the little habit I’m practicing, if I’m moved enough to comment or if someone’s post/comment made me pause, smile, learn, or feel less alone, I will take one second and like it too.
It’s such a small action… but it’s genuine encouragement. And encouragement is one of the easiest ways to make a community feel like a place people want to keep showing up.
Why do you like a post or comment?
