Hi friends⦠I have to tell you what happened because Iām still laughing š
So weāre on spring break right now, and weāll be traveling Wednesday through Sunday. At the beginning of the week, the twins (9.5 years old) got a little job ā walking and playing with our sweet neighborās dog. His name is Blue.
Now, you know we live in Florida, so it should be warm⦠well, it has definitely NOT been warm since Sunday. And on Sunday and Monday, we had really strong winds⦠so hereās the storyā¦
On Sunday, we went to take care of Blue. I went with the twins because, of course, Iām not letting them do that alone. It was the evening walk/playtime. I was relaxing in their backyard ā weāre very close with these neighbors, so I felt comfortable ā and I poured myself a glass of wine while the kids were playing with Blue. I even brought the bottle because I figured theyād be busy for at least an hour.
So, finally relaxing with my wine⦠and Blue decides he wants to be involved too.
Knocks it over.
Half the bottle gone. At least it happened outside, so I was not crying š
Then Monday morning⦠we find š© on the floor.
We cleaned it up, put it in a bag ā things happen ā and I told Nathan to find and throw it in the garage bin, either inside or outside.
He disappears⦠and then comes back⦠still holding it.
Just casually walking around like this is completely normal.
So Iām like nope. He tells me he couldnāt find the bin, so I told him to put it outside by the door and weāll take it later. Yes, it was very windy, but the garage entry is kind of in a nook, so I didnāt think anything of it.
We finish everything with Blue, about to leaveā¦and the bag is gone.
Gone!!! Like, the poop was not there!
Now weāre like⦠did the wind actually take it??
So we are trying to look for it around there ā we get in the car and start driving around the neighborhoodā¦looking for a bag of poop.
Because apparently this is our life now.
Checking under cars, around the house⦠nothing.
We finally give up and start driving homeā¦and then we see a brown bag flying down the street.
We all look at each other likeā¦āno wayā¦ā
But then we look closerā¦and itās tied EXACTLY how I tied it.
So of course⦠we turned around and chased it š
Nathan jumps out and starts running after it, while Leah and I are in the car laughing so hard we can barely breathe.
At this point it is raining and very windy, but somehow⦠he caught it.
Yes. It was Blueās poop.
He brought it into the car (because clearly we were not losing it again š
),
and let me just say ā it does NOT smell like Chanel perfume š
But we successfully made it home with it, and I put it in our garbage bin.
So⦠needless to say, my Mondays have been a little adventurous lately š
