How much communication is too much?

Now, I know we all can see when our contract is viewed and when its just sitting there collecting dust and moving to the 2nd page of our brides email list. Is it overstepping if I reach her via text and say like, "hey girlfriend, Alaska here with AGB I received your inquiry looking for your bridal hair BFF. I sent your proposal via email, make sure to check your spam folder..." etc. or is that too invasive? haha. I want to make sure they are aware that an email has been sent with a proposal.

OR should I just stay with email notification and my follow up emails?
