From 17 to Six Figures — This is Why I Built This Community
I was 17, had no mentor, no network, and no idea what I was doing. I just refused to stop. I started in cyber security at 17. By 24, I was earning six figures. Here’s everything I wish someone had told me. Most people think breaking into cyber takes years of grinding, endless certifications, and a CS degree collecting dust on your wall. I’m living proof that’s not true. I started my career in 2017 with zero connections and no roadmap — just a hunger to figure it out. There were moments I questioned whether I was cut out for this. Rooms full of people with decades of experience, and there I was trying to prove I belonged. But I kept going, kept learning, and kept showing up. Fast forward and I’ve worked across some of the UK’s most recognised organisations — from the Home Office and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office to BAE Systems and BT — protecting critical infrastructure, leading security teams, and advising at board level. I hold CISSP, CCSP, and a stack of certifications most people spend years chasing — but the real education came from the field. From securing biometric environments to building AI governance frameworks, I’ve done the work across both public and private sectors that most people only read about. This isn’t for people looking for shortcuts. It’s for people willing to do the work — with the right guidance behind them. Now I’m building the community I never had. Six Figure Cyber is where I break down exactly how to go from beginner to professional — the skills, the strategy, the mindset, and the moves that actually get you hired and paid what you’re worth. No fluff. No recycled YouTube content. Just real experience, real guidance, and a community of people serious about building a career in cyber. If I did it at 17 with no blueprint — imagine what you can do with one. Drop a comment and tell me where you’re at in your cyber journey.
