🌱 Sing and Serve – Round Two at StoryPoint
Yesterday was our second Sing and Serve at StoryPoint, and once again, it reminded me why this mission matters. There’s something powerful about walking into a room, setting up simple equipment, and watching music turn into connection. Smiles. Laughter. Participation. Moments that feel bigger than just a song. I put together a short video from the day so you can see what it looked like behind the scenes. And here’s something important:You don’t have to sing to be part of this. You can serve in so many ways: - Bake cupcakes or cookies - Bring flowers - Make small handmade gifts - Write cards - Simply show up and talk with someone - Help set up or support the event This is about bringing smiles to those who feel forgotten — through music and simple acts of kindness. If this resonates with you, please share Sing and Serve with friends and family who might feel called to do something meaningful like this. The more awareness we spread, the more lives we can touch. One song. One smile. One act of kindness at a time. 💛

🌱 Sing and Serve – Round Two at StoryPoint
🌱 The Beginning
I want to start this community in the simplest way possible. Sing and Serve exists because I believe singing can be a form of service. Not performance. Not perfection. Just presence. I’m starting this because I’m doing it myself — singing in public spaces, care centers, and places where music can bring comfort and connection. I don’t have all the answers. I’m learning as I go, and I wanted a place to walk that journey with others who feel drawn to the same thing. There’s no pressure here. - No requirement to sing. - No requirement to post. - No expectation to record or share publicly. Some of us will sing out loud. Some of us will sing quietly. Some of us are just finding the courage to begin. All of that belongs here. If you feel comfortable, you’re welcome to introduce yourself in the comments — or just say what drew you here. And if you’d rather just read and listen for now, that’s completely okay too. I’m grateful you’re here at the beginning.Let’s take this one song, one moment, one act of service at a time. 💛
🌱 Today’s Thought
A reminder for all of us today: you don’t have to be perfect to make an impact. Sometimes it’s one song. Sometimes it’s one smile. Sometimes it’s just showing up when you’re not sure how it will go. If you’re feeling nervous, unsure, or waiting until you feel “ready,” you’re not alone. Most meaningful moments start exactly that way. Howeve,r you’re able to serve today—through music, kindness, presence, or support—it matters more than you think. One step. One moment. One act of service at a time. 💛

🌱 Today’s Reflection
Today reminded me why Sing and Serve exists. What started as “just going in to sing” turned into real connection—laughter, emotion, participation, and moments that stayed with me long after I packed up and left. Music opened hearts, including mine. I’m grateful for the people we shared songs with today, and for my friend Jim, who came along and added his voice to the room. Experiences like this reinforce that serving doesn’t require perfection—just presence. As this community grows, we’ll keep talking about how others can do this too: different ways to serve, how opportunities come together, and how music (or simply showing up) can make a difference. Thank you for being here. One song at a time. 💛
