Something I didn’t catch at first in Luke 5…
Nothing changed immediately.
Jesus gave the instruction.
Simon said “nevertheless.”
They let down the nets…
And for a moment—
it probably looked exactly the same.
Same water.
Same silence.
Same uncertainty.
Because the catch didn’t happen when Jesus spoke.
It didn’t even happen when they agreed.
It happened after they followed through.
And I think that’s the part we don’t like.
We want the confirmation first.
We want to see something happening right away.
But a lot of times…
obedience looks like doing the thing
while nothing around you has changed yet.
No sign.
No proof.
No immediate result.
Just… trust.
👉 And that’s where most people stop.
Not because they don’t believe—
but because they don’t see anything happening fast enough.
