Why Do I Go Back to What I Was Freed From?
I was thinking about this today… If Jesus already defeated sin, fear, and shame—why do I keep going back to it like it still has power over me? Not even on purpose sometimes… it’s just automatic. Old thoughts.Old reactions.Old habits. It’s like freedom was given…but I’m still living like I’m stuck. Maybe the struggle isn’t that God hasn’t set us free—maybe it’s that we don’t fully believe we are. Where do you find yourself slipping back into old patterns?

Something to think about...
What are you still carrying or chasing…that the resurrection already settled? If you’re comfortable, drop it below. We’ll pray over it together this week 🤍

Are We Living Like It’s Finished… or Still Fighting Like It’s Not?
The last few weeks we’ve been sitting in some hard questions… What are we carrying that we were never meant to carry? What are we still chasing that should already be ours? And this week brings us to the truth behind both of those: Jesus didn’t just die—He rose. Which means: we don’t have to carry it, we don’t have to chase it, and we’re not stuck where we were 🙌 PRAISE — Who God Is Attribute: Jesus the Resurrection Truth: He is alive—and still bringing new life into the middle of our real lives. 📖 1 Peter 1:3–4 He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. 🤍 CONFESSION God, show me where I’m still holding onto things You already took care of—control, fear, old habits, or thoughts that keep pulling me back. Help me actually let it go. 🙏 THANKSGIVING Thank You for the ways You’ve already shown up in my life—even the ones I didn’t recognize at the time. Thank You that Your work didn’t stop at the cross. 💪 INTERCESSION For our children: God, remind them they are not stuck. Let them walk in freedom, not in the weight of things that don’t define them. For others in our lives: Lord, draw them closer to You. Help them trust You in the middle of whatever they’re facing right now. 🔥 COVERING God, cover our homes, our families, and the people around us this week. Bring peace where there is stress, clarity where there is confusion, and remind us that You are still working—even when we don’t see it.

Peace isn’t automatic
I’ve been thinking about this today… Peace isn’t automatic. I think for a long time I expected that if I was doing the “right” things…if I had faith…then peace would just show up. But that’s not really how it works, is it? Especially when life gets messy. I’m starting to realize… I don’t accidentally carry peace.I choose what I carry. And if I’m being honest, it’s really easy to pick up stress, control, overthinking…and call that “normal.” But what if peace was a choice I had to make on purpose? Even in the middle of everything. “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You…” (Isaiah 26:3) Still working on that today. What are you carrying right now?

When Life Gets Loud
I didn’t post last week. Not because I didn’t want to… but because life got loud. The boys were sick. Bruce got hurt. Everything felt like it was happening at once, and honestly… I was just trying to keep up. And isn’t that how it goes sometimes? One minute you feel grounded… the next you’re just trying to get through the day. But something from church this weekend stuck with me: What if the storm isn’t the problem…what if it’s revealing what I’m carrying in it? Because I can tell you—last week didn’t feel peaceful. It felt stressful, overwhelming, messy. But maybe peace was never about everything around me being calm…maybe it’s about what I’m holding onto while it’s not. “If He led you to it… He’ll lead you through it.” I’m still working on that. Anyone else feel like life’s been a little loud lately?
