What is SIMPLE Parenting?
SIMPLE Parenting is a parenting approach and learning community that helps families understand how children grow, learn, and develop through meaningful everyday experiences. It focuses on guiding parents to support the whole child by encouraging curiosity, confidence, communication, and healthy relationships. The word SIMPLE represents the six key developmental domains of childhood: - S – Social DevelopmentHelping children build relationships, cooperate with others, share, and develop confidence in social settings. - I – Intellectual DevelopmentEncouraging curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and a love for learning. - M – Moral DevelopmentTeaching kindness, honesty, empathy, responsibility, respect, and understanding right from wrong. - P – Physical DevelopmentSupporting healthy movement, coordination, fine and gross motor skills, and overall physical wellness. - L – Language DevelopmentStrengthening communication through talking, listening, reading, storytelling, and self-expression. - E – Emotional DevelopmentHelping children understand emotions, build resilience, manage feelings, and develop self-awareness.
