Fun Fact Friday! 😎
Fun fact: 🥤 On May 8, 1886, the first Coca-Cola was served at Jacobs’ Pharmacy in Atlanta, Georgia. It was originally marketed as a tonic to cure fatigue, headaches, and other ailments!
Today, a 20 oz bottle of regular Coca-Cola contains about 65 grams of sugar, roughly 16 teaspoons!
16 teaspoons by comparison:
🍩 ~5 glazed Krispy Kreme donuts worth of sugar in one drink
🥄 over ⅓ cup of sugar poured straight into a glass
🏃 45-60 minutes of running to burn off the calories from that sugar alone
I usually stick to bubbly water when I want to drink something carbonated but an occasional Coke Zero can cut your cravings with zero sugar. Not the same as regular Coke but the flavor grows on you and your body will thank you. 🙂
Have a great weekend, ladies! 👸
