I was lucky enough to spend a week with family in beautiful Lake Tahoe. I hadn't been there in the summer time in years and forgot how magical it really is. I wasn't able to fully disconnect because of work duties but was able to work around my own schedule. There were times when I put my phone away, didn't answer texts and emails, and didn't watch t.v for the entire week. It felt great to be away and to do things on my own time. I've been back home for a day now and back to the grind on this Monday morning. I'm realizing how routine my life has been when I'm at home. While I believe that consistency is key, I'm also starting to realize that I need more change in my everyday life. I feel like I do the exact same thing each day, like ground hogs day. But change for me doesn't mean going off the rails, forgetting my healthy lifestyle, not working out, and not sleeping. I'm not entirely sure what it means for me, but I'll start with a few small things like more short walks during the day, more movement between working on my computer, more reading, less t.v. I'll let you know how it goes. What do you do each day to keep your life exciting and new? :)
