Greetings Brand Launch Family 👋🏽
Let’s start with MY truth: the second I niched down and ONLY post lab science content, everything changed. Because the algorithm suddenly knew EXACTLY what I was about, and who to show my page to.
Here’s how the algorithm works:
- It’s not one algorithm/rule: it’s lots of mini-algorithms (Feed, Reels, Stories, Explore) all deciding who sees your content based on signals like engagement, relevancy, relationship, and how often people like what you post.
- When the algorithm sees you consistently posting the same topic to the same audience, it starts trusting you. It says: “This creator is about X. These viewers like X. Let’s show them more of this.”
- When you’re all over the place, fitness one day, mindset the next, random topics the following...the algorithm gets confused. It doesn’t know who to push you to, so your growth gets weak.
Niching down gives you major benefits:
- You build authority in one space. People know what you do, and the algorithm knows you do it. (like me or Jacob who only focused on posting in ONE niche, dominating the space).
- You attract relevant followers who actually engage and pay attention. Engagement = the algorithm loves you.
- You decrease competition because you’re not swimming in the sea of generic content. A specific niche gives you a clearer lane.
So here’s what I want you to do right now: Pick one lane, one audience, one clear problem you solve. Then show up consistently and the algorithm and your growth will catch on.
You don’t need to be everywhere; you just need to be clear.
Tell me your niche or your ideal avatar in the comments.
