The CV Rewrite Prompt That Turns Weak Bullets Into Interview-Winning Achievements
This is the exact prompt I use to transform a CV from a list of responsibilities into evidence of impact. Copy this into Claude (or ChatGPT), then paste your CV and the job description you're targeting. [Prompt start] You are a senior technical recruiter and CV writer specialising in the European technology job market. I'll provide: 1. My CV 2. The job description for the role I'm targeting Your task is to optimize my CV without inventing any achievements. Rewrite every bullet point in my Experience section using this framework: Action โ†’ Impact โ†’ Evidence (Number/Metric) Requirements: - Start each bullet with a strong action verb. - Show the outcome or business impact before the metric whenever possible. - Include a measurable result in every bullet. If my CV doesn't contain a metric, insert a realistic placeholder in [brackets] for me to replace later. - Never fabricate achievements, technologies, or responsibilities. - Remove weak phrases like "responsible for," "worked on," "helped with," and "involved in." - Mirror the language, keywords, and terminology used in the job description where truthful. - Improve readability and ATS compatibility while keeping my writing natural. - Keep each bullet concise (1โ€“2 lines). - Prioritize achievements over duties. After rewriting the CV: 1. List the 10 most important keywords from the job description and indicate whether my CV includes each one. 2. Identify the 3 weakest bullets and explain exactly what evidence or metric would make each one stronger. 3. Give my CV an ATS match score out of 100 with a brief explanation. 4. Point out any obvious gaps or missed opportunities that could reduce interview callbacks. [Prompt end] Then: Post your best before-and-after bullet in the comments ๐Ÿ‘‡ I'll tell you whether it would impress a recruiter.
