Let’s clear something up right now.
A lot of comedians think money comes from being funny.
Wrong.
Money does not come from funny alone.
There are comedians out here destroying rooms, getting huge laughs, and still leaving with nothing but a dap and a drink ticket.
Why?
Because being funny and being profitable are two different skills.
Funny gets people to notice you.
But money comes when people understand:
- what you do
- what value you bring
- who you help
- why you’re worth paying
That means comedy has to become more than “watch me tell jokes.”
It has to become:
- useful
- marketable
- clear
- professional
- valuable
A comedian who only chases laughs may stay stuck.
A comedian who learns how to package, position, and present themselves becomes way more dangerous.
Main Lesson
Being funny is talent. Getting paid is strategy.
