When I worked at Chick-fil-A, I often wanted a community where I could learn alongside others, share principles, and bounce ideas off peers. I knew that understanding and applying foundational principles could lead to meaningful improvements, but such a community didn’t exist. To address this, I initiated conversations with other operators, explored best practices within Chick-fil-A and from different industries, and focused on applying foundational principles to solve operational challenges and improve processes. These efforts resulted in growing sales by over 40% over two years and earning Chick-fil-A’s Symbol of Success award two years in a row.
