👋 Welcome to the Serbian Language & Culture Hub
Welcome! We are very glad to have you here and excited to begin this learning journey together.
This community is the central hub for the course. All students—whether attending live + online or online only—will use this space to access materials, updates, and announcements.
🧭 How to Navigate This Community
When you join the community, you will see several tabs at the top.
➡️ Go to the Classroom tab. This is where all course materials live:
- weekly lessons
- recordings
- written materials
- assignments and homework
New content will be added there as the course progresses. If you are ever unsure where to find something, the Classroom tab is your first stop.
Announcements and important updates will appear in the Community feed, below this post.
📘 What to Expect
- We are starting from the very beginning.
- If you already have some background in Serbian, the first lessons will serve as a solid review.
- If you are starting from absolute zero, this course is designed for you.
✍️ Materials & Study Expectations
All students are strongly encouraged to have a dedicated notebook.
Writing by hand plays an important role in language learning:
- it develops motor skills,
- improves retention,
- and reinforces long-term understanding.
Homework and practice assume active writing, not only reading or listening.
🎯 Commitment & Progress
We take this course seriously and ask that you do the same. Consistent time, focus, and practice are essential. If you follow the course and engage with the material, you will make progress.
