Sensory Connections is a supportive community for parents and caregivers of neurodivergent children who want to better understand what's happening beneath their child's behaviour and learn practical strategies for everyday life.
Here, we don't start by asking:
“How do I stop this behaviour?”
We get curious and ask:
“What might my child be communicating?”
Behaviour can be influenced by sensory needs, regulation, communication, anxiety, the environment, expectations, connection, and skills that are still developing.
