I have recently, in the last few days, fallen down a bit of a rabbit hole with AI, looking to see how I can use the tool to help me as a producer. In testing a new AI tool, I thought, "Well, what's something I know that freelancers need?" and so I built a little invoicing tool. That actually came out really well, so I did some more development on it, and now it's actually a full-on app. You can track invoices and receipts. It's got automated reminders to follow up on invoices that are overdue, and you can automate a nudge for yourself to be reminded to actually process your receipts. There's a mini CRM in it so that you can keep your records, your clients, and your items that you charge for regularly. It also does gig connections, so you can assign an invoice to a specific gig and receipts and expenses to the same gig, so you can get a mini P&L overview for your gigs. So crazy how efficient and useful the AI tools are in building and stepping you through the process. There was so much to the backend setup of this that I had no idea about.
