The S.A.I.D. principal
Your body is always adapting. Specific Adaptation to Imposed Demands. Sit all day? You adapt to sitting. Move well, load smart, recover often? You adapt to that. Pain isn’t random. Stiffness isn’t age. It’s feedback from repeated inputs. Change the demand → change the adaptation. Movement is medicine. Consistency is the dosage. (Your spine is basically a very honest employee—it reflects exactly how you treat it.)

Allow me to introduce...
Hey. I’m Backman. By day, I’m Cam — a doctor who helps people move better. By night (and occasionally during meetings), I’m Backman. I built this community for desk jockeys because sitting all day quietly trains your body to feel stiff, cranky, and older than it should. That doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means your body adapted. This isn’t a workout group. It’s not about perfect posture or standing desks that cost more than your car. It’s about simple movement resets and understanding what your body is actually telling you — so you can feel better during the workday, not just after it. Stick around. We’re going to undo some things your desk started. — Backman
