Staying True to Yourself When Everything Gets Loud Around the Holidays
This season quietly pressures you to perform — happiness, closeness, gratitude, flexibility.
That pressure is where self-betrayal sneaks in.
Staying true to yourself isn’t dramatic. It’s subtle.
It’s noticing where you override your body to keep the peace.
Where you explain instead of honor your limits.
Where you perform instead of participate.
👉This is something I wish I was told when I was younger- discomfort from others doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong.
Real self-care right now looks like this:
• decide your non-negotiables before emotions take over
• let awkwardness exist without fixing it
• choose alignment over approval
2-minute check-in:
“What am I pretending to be okay with that I’m not?”
🍀You don’t need to survive this season.
🍄You need to stay intact inside it.
Let us know how the 'happiest tike of the year' went for you.
