Lesson 1: Why Boring Processes Keep Projects and Clients on Track
Wireframes are boring. They’re just grey boxes, lines, and placeholders. But that’s exactly why they’re powerful.
Here’s the deal:
Clarity first: Wireframes force everyone—clients, designers, developers—to focus on structure, content, and flow, not colors, fonts, or flashy effects.
Early feedback: You catch misunderstandings before a single pixel is coded. This saves hours (or days) of rework.
Scope control: Wireframes make it obvious what’s in and out of scope. Everyone knows what’s being built.
Boring doesn’t mean useless. In fact, boring is what keeps projects moving smoothly and clients happy.
Next time a client asks for “something more exciting,” remember: excitement comes after the foundation is solid.
