Introduction
Hi Everybody, My name is Kelley, and I am 58 years old. In 2023, at the age of 55, I embarked on this journey. It was a pivotal year that required translating a lifetime of IT Technical experience into being a High School Secretary/ParaPro. By prioritizing community impact over corporate ladder-climbing, I have successfully pivoted into the public school system. This move reflects a broader 2026 trend: experienced professionals finding "renewal" in roles that offer a sense of service. Working in a school at 55+ allows you to act as a stabilizing force and mentor, proving that a career "reset" isn't about starting over—it’s about starting better. What are your challenges starting a second career? What can I help with? Introduce yourself, let me know you what you are looking for, what is your favorite book, what is your favorite place to visit. —Kelley
