Some basics on going from Roads to Trails.
A lot of us started as road runners. Even those of use who ran cross country in our youth. Many miles pounding the roads. Road running is about efficiency and repetition of movement not wasting any energy. You’re like a train chugging along the tracks. There is beauty in the human form running and being efficient and fleet of foot. Over the years numerous runners who joined my group runs and races had many talks on the transition to trails.
