For those that may be new in the community, I am also a herbalist (folk and clinical), and today I want to talk about one of my favorite herbs, Hibiscus 🌺😊. I like to educate on the physical/medicinal, spiritual, and energetic benefits of each herb/root so let’s dive in. It’s getting quite warm out and Hibiscus is a great herb for combatting the heat because it clears excess heat in the body, and it is also a natural diuretic that clears water retention in the body. Hibiscus is high in Vitamin C, antioxidants, and minerals, supporting immune health, lowering blood pressure, and cooling inflammation. Traditionally, it has been used as a cardiovascular tonic, helping to improve heart health and circulation. Hibiscus is also great for refreshing and strengthening the liver and kidneys energetically and physically. Spiritually hibiscus activates your sacral chakra and awakens passion, sensuality, creativity, and emotional expression. It’s a sacred flower of fertility, love, and spiritual renewal. I like to use it in spiritual baths because it refreshes & strengthens the aura and invites prosperity, charm, beauty, joy and Divine attraction. I’ll be going over the various uses of an assortment of herbs & roots inside of my spiritual summer school cohorts, “The Root.” If you’re interested in learning more drop a comment below and I’ll send you a dm with details about this cohort (although some of you are already enrolled 😊). I have an incredible mocktail called “The Heart Opener” that is available at local restaurants in my area, and the base is my hibiscus lemonade. One of my favorite things to enjoy in the spring and summer 😊🌞 (see photos below). Sending you all lots of love 🙏🏾💚🌺.
