Here are 5 tips for writing great poetry
1. Authenticity and Voice: Make sure your unique voice shines through. Be genuine and true to your own experiences and emotions. 2. Imagery and Figurative Language: Use vivid imagery, metaphors, similes, and other figurative language to create strong mental pictures and evoke emotions. 3. Structure and Form: Pay attention to the structure—whether it’s free verse, sonnet, haiku, or any other form. The form can greatly impact the poem’s feel. 4. Emotion and Theme: Focus on a central emotion or theme. This helps give your poem cohesion and depth. 5. Revision and Editing: Don’t be afraid to revise. Editing is where a poem often transforms from good to great, so take your time refining your words and lines. I hope this helps. What are your favorite tips? I think authenticity and emotion are probably my favorites. I never aim to sound like anyone you’ve heard. I keep it real, raw and full of emotions.

Minding my blooming business
I’m here I may be Distant but at least I’m present I must say it’s great to be back Have you ever been disconnected? Well now I’m Beaming light from the shadows Watch me move May Not be seen but I know I’m felt. I think I like it here. So Often there are questions Then there are presumptions I take that lightly bc sometimes it’s usually projection Too often there are opinions Thanks, although I didn’t ask for them I don’t need to be reminded of my greatness I know I’m great I don’t need to be reminded of being stagnant When every day is a fight to make it to tomorrow I don’t just want to be felt but sometimes it cost too much being seen. What I do is my choice what you do is your preference Respect for both goes hand in hand Of course I want to make a lot of money Everyone does I just no longer wish to do it bleeding myself dry for someone else So I mind my blooming business You choose to be a corporate worker I am the corporate structure We are not the same Diversity says we don’t have to be It’s hard to see what you weren’t given sight for so I find myself giving a lot of grace Doesn’t mean I don’t see the shade Yes my days will run into night There will be situations that are fight or flight Shitt That’s an entrepreneurs life Your worries are not my responsibility So I will not make it my plight I know who I am and what I’m doing I’m not complacent I’m actually very calculated… Lady X Disclaimer: The only people who believe in you are you and God. It’s a harsh reality but it’s the truth. Words of encouragement feel nice but most times there’s a price attached and we are completely unaware. Pray without ceasing and ask your God to make things Crystal clear. How do you stay encouraged? Let’s talk about it
