Off-season is shooting season. And making shooters better isn't as hard as people think β you just need the right lens.
Here's the move that changes everything:
β Position 1 (load): hips down, chest up, ball loaded near the middle of the body β Position 2 (the magic move): lift the ball to two without firing the hips β Position 3 (release): push down on the floor as you push out on the ball
Most young shooters lift the ball and the hips at the same time. The hands and hips are linked by a chain β and the whole game is breaking that chain.
Down at two = power transfer. Pushy and inconsistent if not.
