Playing time...😮💨
This is one of the most complex parts of coaching. And most players and parents have no idea how many variables go into those decisions.
👉 Inside the TOC classroom, we have a resource called "Playing Time Case Studies" that I’ve used personally in team meetings and even parent meetings. It changes the conversation.
🧠 WHY IT WORKS...
Each scenario creates tension between:
• Role vs. performance
• Commitment vs. consistency
• Attitude vs. ability
It forces players to see that playing time decisions are rarely simple.
And when I’ve used this in parent meetings, it’s eye-opening. They see the layers. They see the values. They see the responsibility.
If you’re in-season and managing minutes (or out of season and building culture), this is a powerful tool. 💪
