I would love some input on what scriptures to cover next. Please take a moment to pray about it and vote. Have a blessed day! Mrs. Savage

For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.” — Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 (KJV) Feel free to post prayer requests or share your latest accomplishments.

Become a Child of God
Today’s Scripture “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 18:3) Troubled thoughts don’t knock politely. Troubling thoughts, they rush in, loud and cruel. Fear, doubt, anger, they can make a mind feel crowded and heavy. I don’t believe we should fight like warriors in those moments. Jesus told us to become like children. What does that mean? Google says: Being "like a child" during troubling times manifests in two distinct ways: negative emotional regression(helplessness, tantrums, fear) or positive childlike resilience(trust, simplicity, presence). It is a stress response where adults may rely on early learned patterns or adopt a "faithful" mindset to survive overwhelming challenges. What does God’s word say about it? “Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”— Matthew 18:4 This is the foundation. Children don’t pretend to have it all figured out, they know they need help. What that looks like in real life: - Admitting “I don’t know” - Letting go of the need to control outcomes - Being willing to be taught A child doesn’t carry everything. A child doesn’t try to solve every fear. A child runs to someone they trust. Children feel things deeply, but they don’t stay tangled in them for long. They cry, they reach out, they trust, and then they rest. There is an innocence in that. It’s a refusal to let darkness define what is true. When we allow God to be our Father and we trust in Him, when we rest in the truth of Christ, we can find a peace like an innocent child in his loving parent’s arms. We can learn to rest even during life’s storms. When your mind is in turmoil, stop and remember that you are a loved child of God! Know that you can rest in the knowledge that you are loved and never alone.

Become a Child of God
Week 1️⃣
I don’t remember not knowing Jesus. My mother started teaching me about Jesus before I could talk. I was saved at church around age 8 or 9. Jesus was responsible for that. Honorable mention goes to Pastor Boone and his family. And of course, my first Sunday school teacher. My mother. ❤️ “My church” was a Pentecostal church. Evangelical I guess is what it’s called. We spoke in tongues. I started going there in 3rd grade I think. This church played great music. The Boones teen son was the music guy. The pastor had an older daughter named Donna. She was my Sunday school teacher. Miss Donna gave me my first Bible. A tiny red New Testament. I still have it. My mom and dad gave me my first real Bible the following Christmas. It was the Old and New Testament! I still have it too. My church was quiet and lovely and at other times it was fire and brimstone. We all had the “Holy Ghost” in that church. Children and adults alike. I really loved that church and everyone there. It was a tiny church, five rooms or so. I went to that church twice on Sunday and every Wednesday and even on one other day of the week for Missionettes. I spent a lot of time praying during services asking God to help my dad. My dad was struggling emotionally all of my childhood. During these early years he would quiz me every time I came home from church about what I had learned. He was a new Christian back in the early 1970’s. I didn’t know it at the time, but I guess he was the first person I taught Sunday school to. We moved from that place when I was twelve years old. We moved right after my sixth grade year. We moved almost 2000 miles away. I felt lost. After relocation I left the fellowship of a church for a long time. I grew up, married (a few times) and had several children who are now all grown. During some of those years I spent some time teaching elementary age girls Sunday school at a baptist church I was attending. I enjoyed it. Years have passed and currently, I’m looking for another “my church”. We moved to the farm my husband grew up on recently. I have not found the right church here yet.

Welcome!
I just started this page today, so I have zero content. I’ll be working on creating content all day tomorrow to be ready for Sunday nights first Bible study post. Please introduce yourself in the comments! I realize I may be here all alone for a long time 😎 That is fine. I do Bible reading and studying alone anyway; I may as well make a record of it and make an attempt to share. One more thing: My husband and I live on a farm so will be sharing some of that and my crochet projects. I promise I will try and keep the cute lamb pics to a minimum ❤️ (see 1st cute lamb pic below) May God bless anyone who passes this way and may He show me how to be of service to Him. 🙏 Mrs. Savage
