Jupuary and the $625M JUP Airdrop
4 Gary Ma 1d ago • 🚀 Alpha Jupuary and the $625M JUP Airdrop Jupiter, one of the leading decentralized exchanges (DEX) on the Solana blockchain, is set to conduct its annual “Jupuary” airdrop in January 2025. This event aims to reward the community for their engagement and loyalty, distributing 700 million JUP tokens (approx. 7% of total supply), valued at approximately $625 million, to eligible users and contributors within the Jupiter ecosystem. At the time of writing, the claim details and final allocations will be posted next week, around the third week of January. AIRDROP ALLOCATIONS The JUP airdrop for 2025 has been structured to distribute 700 million JUP tokens, which represents approximately 7% of the total supply. The allocation is designed to reward different categories of users: - JUP Stakers: 75 million JUP tokens are allocated for those who have staked their JUP tokens. Stakers who have consistently participated in governance by voting on proposals will receive an enhanced allocation, roughly 40% of their staked amount. - Jupiter Product Users: A substantial 425 million JUP tokens are designated for users of Jupiter's wide range of products. The allocation here is based on trading volume, with users needing a minimum of $1,000 in volume to qualify. The rewards are tiered: - $800+ volume: 50 JUP - $29,000+ volume: 250 JUP - $500,000+ volume: 3,000 JUP - $3 million+ volume: 10,000 JUP - $14 million+ volume: 20,000 JUP - Carrots Program: An additional 200 million JUP tokens are set aside as "variable" incentives. This includes: - Carrots: Users who claim and stake their airdrop via the JUP Mobile app can receive between 50 to 200 JUP per wallet as a bonus to encourage app usage. - Good Cats: This category rewards qualitative contributions to the Jupiter community. Users can apply by detailing their positive contributions, with allocations decided after review.
