2. Why he built Skool
Sam started Skool because he had a big Facebook group for business owners and realized people don’t just want information - they want belonging and to learn with others.
He designed Skool to combine 4 things in one place:
- Facebook Groups for community
- Teachable for courses
- Discord for real-time chat
- Patreon for monetization
3. How it launched
He migrated his existing Facebook group to Skool during a soft launch. About 5,000 users joined in days. Early on, he let users in for free to get feedback and improve the product.
4. Vision
Sam’s goal is to reach 1 billion users. He sees Skool as part of the shift from traditional courses to interactive, community-based learning.
He’s also partnered with Alex Hormozi on “The Skool Games”, a monthly competition for entrepreneurs on the platform.
