Wednesday Dad joke…😂
Here’s a funny pronunciation twist: tearable and terrible sound very close, so the joke plays on that little difference. - tearable = something you can tear - terrible = very bad English is full of tiny sound changes that can completely change the meaning — and sometimes even create a dad joke 😄 Did this joke sound tearable… or just terrible? 👀😂 Let me know if you liked it!

🔊 Tuesday Challenge + Coffee Hour
Last time we started working on the /æ/ sound (the sound in cat, man, bad), so since not everyone was there, we’ll continue with this sound tonight during Coffee Hour. But first… here’s your Tuesday Challenge. 🧪 The /æ/ Challenge Which of these words contains the /æ/ sound? A) cat B) bed C) bad D) cup E) man F) hat G) car H) bag Write only the letters in the comments. Example: A, C, F… ✍️ Bonus Challenge Write 3 words with the /æ/ sound. If you can using the ohonetic transcription too. Example: cat ☕ Coffee Hour Tonight Tonight we will practice: • The /æ/ sound • Minimal pairs (cat vs cut, bad vs bed) • Mouth position • Speaking practice together Remember: /æ/ = open mouth, big smile, relaxed tongue I f you say /e/ instead of /æ/, people hear a different word. cat → sounds like ketman → sounds like men That’s why this sound is very important. See you tonight at Coffee Hour! ☕ Link in the calendar
