Hey guys,
Hope everyone is doing well and had a great weekend.
(If you are reading this on your email, click through to the post, it will be a better experience)
Wanted to do our first "official" Salesforce post to give a bit of an introduction to Salesforce in order to give some of the members of the Skool Community a first glimpse into the Ecosystem (explanation of Ecosystem in Salesforce context to follow).
But before we get started, I just wanted to give a shoutout to our June 2024 Leaderboard. Well done to & for taking the top 3 Spots in our Community. You can achieve this ranking by simply interacting more with the community by doing the following activities : Sharing the group link with Friends, Family, Colleagues or anyone who might benefit, liking and commenting on posts (make sure to Like and Comment on this Post 😄, as easy as that). Just also wanted to take a moment and give my thanks for everyone who has already joined the community, as of the time of this writing we are ten members of the community and I hope to see loads more join as the months go by. Ps, stick around to the end of the reading for a special "Easter Egg 🥚" I'll be posting between the content, trust me, it will be worth your while 😎.
Now, back to the topic of Salesforce.
So what is Salesforce? Is this Wian sharing tips and tricks around how to sell better? Maybe it's a system / method on how to build world class sales teams? The answer is, neither of what has been previously mentioned. BUT, it is a System that allows businesses to transform the way they Sell, Service and Market to their customers with a wide variety of Modules (Known as "Clouds"), all on one platform. Some high level functions that Salesforce can assist Businesses with:
- Build out Advance Sales Processes
- Assist Agents with Customer Query logging and Resolution
- Automate Digital Marketing efforts on Channels such as Email, SMS, WhatsApp & Social Media
- Build out on-line Stores for Business-to-Business (B2B) or Business-to-Consumer(B2C) transactions
- Here is the first portion of of the easter egg, do you want R1000 cash? (continue reading)
- Create customs Apps via the Heroku platform
Some customers globally that use Salesforce to manage various business operations are (but not limited to):
- Amazon
- Coca-Cola
- Toyota
- Adidas
- American Express
- Spotify
- Siemens
These brands lean on the Salesforce platform to transact and communicate with their customers at scale. By keeping all their customer data on one platform, they have the ability to give all their customers a personalised experience when dealing with them and achieving a 360 degree view of their customers in turn.
When it comes to Marketing, these companies make use of tools such as Salesforce Marketingcloud for mass communication. When the Sales teams need to manage their Customer Interactions and Pipelines, Salesforce Salescloud has them covered. And when Customers call in to log queries or complaints, Salesforce Servicecloud is there to assist any support agents fulfil their taks. Here is the next easter egg, if you can get ten people to join the Salesforce Samurais community, I will pay you R1000 for getting there first (yes, there will only be one winner and that is the first person to get ten sign ups 😅 continue reading). Salesforce is not also a company that serves other companies with the technology that they provide, they are also big on their Community of Salesforce users. This community is called the Trailblazer community and is open for anyone to join. On the Trailblazer community, you will find thousands of people that are either actively working on Salesforce, for Salesforce or are Partnered with Salesforce.
The community is there as a means for individuals to share knowledge, ask questions, get to know the latest updates on the platform or just to engage with like minded individuals (much like this community)
As part of Salesforce's continued support for local communities, they also have various initiatives that run globally to assist those in need with Giving Back initiatives. They have even gone so far as to building out a Non-Profit cloud solution for Non-Profit organisations that would want to manage their members on one central platform and don't have the means to build out their own custom solution.
Last bit of the easter egg, have each member that you refer to the Salesforce Samurais community, reference your name in their intro message to me 😀 that is it, invite people you know to the community, make sure they sign up and use your name as reference to their message to me and be the first to ten sign ups and you get the cash. The last portion of Salesforce that would be interesting for each of the community members to be aware of is the Salesforce Certifications. The reason why you should be interested in this point? It is your "Golden Ticket" to a secured future career wise!!!!!! Salesforce Certified resources are a hot commodity globally with Companies paying big salaries to individuals that have the credentials and experience to work on the Salesforce platform. Below is a snapshot of what Salesforce resources are earning per annum for each of their respective roles (I kept this to US Dollar as it is the most common used currency)
- Salesforce Project Manager : $152,125
- Salesforce CRM Manager : $154,500
- Salesforce Developer : $155,125
- Salesforce Functional Consultant : $155,750
- Salesforce Program Manager : $160,750
- Salesforce Development Manager : $170,125
- Salesforce Solution Architect : $175,000
- Salesforce Technical Consultant : $179,375
- MuleSoft Architect : $188,50
- Salesforce Technical Architect : $200,000
I know right, those are some good looking numbers. And the beauty of it all, it does not matter how old you are, what your background has been up to this point or where you currently are in the world, EVERYONE can get themselves up-skilled on the platform and earning that type of money.
And that is my mission with Salesforce Samurais, for each community member to take control of their futures and build out a career that will not only add tremendous value to you, but also to make a big difference in you and your family's lives. Let's continue to walk this journey together guys. Thanks for reading
