Welcome to Sales DNA Academy
🧬 Welcome to Sales DNA Academy! If you've ever wondered why some deals close and others go quiet, or why your revenue swings from month to month, you're in the right place. Most advice says "work harder" or "buy more software." But for most owners and sales leaders, the real problem isn't activity. It's not knowing why deals are won or lost, so you can't repeat what works. That's what we'll work on together: finding the hidden blocks in your sales and fixing them with simple, practical steps. 🎥 https://youtube.com/shorts/Y8DUpUrTjr4?feature=share 👉 Start here (takes 2 minutes): Introduce yourself in the comments: 1. Your role and industry 2. Do you sell solo or lead a team? 3. Your #1 sales challenge right now (e.g., price objections, quiet proposals, closing confidence) I read every reply and respond personally. Your answers also shape what I cover next. Start with Lesson 1 of Sales Intelligence & Benchmarking in the Classroom to see how it works. Glad you're here. 👇

The 5-Stage Sales DNA Check
Before changing your sales strategy or hiring someone new, identify where the problem actually starts. Look at your last 20 sales opportunities (whether you sold them yourself or your team did) and track these 5 stages: 1️⃣ Lead → Conversation: How many leads actually become meaningful conversations? 2️⃣ Conversation → Qualified Opportunity: How many have a genuine need, budget, and reason to buy? 3️⃣ Opportunity → Proposal: How many qualified opportunities receive a proposal? 4️⃣ Proposal → Negotiation: How many proposals progress into a serious buying conversation? 5️⃣ Negotiation → Won: How many ultimately become customers—and at what margin? Now look for your biggest drop-off. That is your first Sales DNA signal. Don't immediately blame your price, your market, your CRM, or your salespeople. Find the exact stage first, then investigate the cause: - Want a quick brain-teaser reset? Head to Classroom 1 (The Light Bulb Quiz) to test your lateral thinking skills. - Want to benchmark skills like Money Comfort or Rejection Handling? TUESDAY #BRAINTEASER: The Discount Dilemma
Time for a quick deal-logic puzzle before you dive into calls today. The Scenario: A qualified prospect says: "We love everything about your service, but if you can drop the price by 15%, we’ll sign the contract today." The average seller immediately agrees to the 15% discount just to lock in the commission. The amateur seller says a rigid "No" and risks stalling the deal. The Lateral Thinking Riddle: The top 5% of sellers negotiate without giving away a single penny of margin or damaging their authority. Without lowering your price or adding free work, what single trade-off or reframe can you present to protect your margin while still giving the prospect a win? 🔍 HINT: In deal logic, a price reduction should never be a gift. It must always be an exchange of value. 💬 Drop your best move in the comments below! Let's see who has the sharpest negotiation DNA today. TUESDAY #BRAINTEASER: The Paradox of Choice
Time to sharpen your deal-solving logic today. The Scenario: A founder presents three distinct solution packages (Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3) to a qualified prospect. The prospect loves the pitch, agrees the problem is urgent, but asks for a week to review the options. One week later, the deal goes completely silent. The Lateral Thinking Riddle: Adding options is supposed to help buyers say "yes," yet offering three clear packages cut the closing probability in half. Without blaming the prospect's budget, what psychological trap did the seller accidentally create by presenting three options? HINT: It’s a classic decision-making bottleneck that occurs when sales friction shifts from price to effort. Drop your best diagnosis in the comments below! Let's see who pinpoints the exact sales DNA issue. (Ready to test how flexible your problem-solving mindset really is under real deal pressure?
