I want a scenario to leave a clear sentence behind, not just a more attractive number.
Try this fictional exercise on paper:
Base assumption: customer renewals remain near the recent level.
Optimistic assumption: customer renewals improve.
The second sentence needs evidence. It does not become true because a model accepts it.
Write a three-part note:
1. The improvement the optimistic case requires.
2. The comparable evidence you would use to check it.
3. An observation that would make you reconsider that assumption.
For this example, the evidence could be reported renewal data over time. Check the definition before comparing periods. If the necessary data is unavailable, leave the question open.
If you use the optional Stock Research Lab, revisit the Scenario Valuation lesson and add this note beside one fictional practice assumption. Keep the formulas unchanged. The paper exercise is enough; no paid workbook or personal portfolio details are needed here.
Your action: complete one assumption note without calculating a target price or making a trade.
