I realised sonething this week, like I always do when I talk to my sister…
Output is my drive for my room. I want to make music and release it, or at least play it to and/or with other people.
But not everyone wants or needs to do that. For some, building and developing a creative space is just about getting to a personal balance. We have offices and jobs that we go to, maybe we even spend a solid chunk of our lives there. We have home offices - significant chunks of our homes that we work in. Why not also have a space that’s for being creative, just for us?
It doesn’t have to be designed to record an album, produce a podcast, put together an art exhibition, write a novel, or make the world’s biggest crochet sculpture. It can just be for doing those things, for YOU.
An old boss of mine would maybe call this POTTERING (not pottery). In other words, a room to be you in. A room to do things and make things, that you may or may not share.
If you had an extra room available - how would you use it?
