I seem to regularly forget that of the 10 tracks on this album, 6 were recorded at home - in my own studio space. I used a bunch of tricks along the way to combat creative friction, ADHD and general resistance - but it was done and released in January 2026. And next month I’ll be properly starting in the next one (I guess I already have), or at least intensifying the process. Check this one out on streaming services - ask questions!

New weekly live session: Room Reset Live Once a week I’ll be live for 30 minutes to help work through one thing that’s making your room, workflow or project harder than it needs to be. Bring the actual problem you’ve got. Messy room, unfinished song, awkward setup, too many decisions, broken workflow, whatever. Turns out the hardest part was pressing record. Yesterday I stopped treating video like a production and just made one. The tripod was broken. The room had only just been tidied. Nothing was particularly polished. But it got made. That’s a pretty good example of what Room to Record is about: reducing the friction between intending to make something and actually making it. You don’t always need better gear or more preparation. Sometimes you need to start anyway. What’s one tiny thing getting in the way of making something today?

I’m about to hit the video production merry go round for real - with more regular reels across my two groups and some other channels too. But more importantly, I’m getting back to sharing the real deal - recording music.

I have had a crazy few weeks but this week I WILL be getting back to: -Prisoner of Zegna - a series of posts about a new song from idea to release -Where do you get off - a collaboration song with an external deadline in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS, so I have already started -Updates on the second album which is starting to take shape on paper - and creating the momentum and schedule to make it happen.... And of course there are always more things to finish in the classroom! I'll also give an update on how my second channel, GUITAR MOD LAB is going after its first 7 days.....
