New Layout
Ive had a hard time finding certain posts when they are buried several pages in. I’ve found myself scrolling endlessly and still my eyes are sometimes missing it!
So Ive taken some time to create categories where older posts will be moved, so if you’re like Me, you can just click on it and find it.
If you’re not aware how categories work, youre not alone; I’m not the brightest tool in the cookie jar, myself. So at the top of our community are there little tabs, each represents a category. If you click on one, it “filters” the threads you see and shows one tagged with that category. Here are those categories.
Hangout - our main threads (all the other posts are here)
Live stuff - Our recordings of live streaming
Theory Talk - All our discussions and posts on theory are found there including my Theory Bits, series, so you can find them all in one location
Funny stuff - self explanatory
Just Playin’ - Our videos of our members playing or demonstrating something, like Ron, Anne etc
Meetups - pictures and posts of some of us meeting up, hanging out
Music gear - This is where we post things like the latest tech, new pedal or just a link to some review or item we found interesting.
Also, if you’ve tried to post and found that it wasn’t accepting your post, this got Me, until I realized that once I created categories, it now asks Me to choose a category or it wont post. I’m a little slow on tech, and it took a minute to realize that. Its not that obvious, at least not to Me, but on my phone its at the bottom as a dropdown and Ive circled it in yellow. Thats it. thats all you get to cue you that it needs a category chosen before you post!
So basically, just choose “hangout” as the group/category regardless of what it is, when you post. I let things hang a bit in the general area anyways for a few days before tagging them for the new category.
Hope this makes things easier for more than myself!
