🚨 Breaking News: Growth boost was just implemented for skool. has a little rant about it. It's a very controversial feature. Why? Because Skool is taking 30% comission in exchange for promoting you on facebook ads and their own discovery system.
That includes when people click on your profile, when people find your community on discovery and when they find your community on the facebook ads. So the big downside is that if you promote yourself mainly from inside skool, you will always pay the comission. And yes, the referral link for your own community does not exist anymore. So if you're very active on the classifieds or skoolers getting members from those places, skool willl still take the comission from what I understand.
for example found this place from the classifieds and skool is counting her as a referral from them. That's absurd! and already expressed their own opinions on their respective communities about that problem. Sure, you can disable it, but that will damage your discovery score drastically. I'll problably leave it enabled for a while just to see if I really get a growth boost from it, and if not, I'll just disable it. Because most of my growth was due to my own organic effort.
What about you? What will you do?
