New cookbook
I know a lot of the group are using Hexis. I found myself defaulting to the same few recipes, which isn't a good gut microbiome move. We put together a short cookbook to give you inspiration & some fresh food ideas. It's under "Nutrition" in Classrooms or here's the link https://www.skool.com/roadmancycling/classroom/fae2c6a7?md=bac5129a06f34e79b7c64202cc2c8013

Ice Bath for Recover
Last night I ended up in a massive rabbit hole as you normally do when you do one google, and ended with more questions than answers. Now I am doing more intensity in my training was looking at how to optimise recover and whether Ice baths would help, and if so when is the best time to do have one. What i found online was very polarised with some sources saying they are good and some saying avoid as they dull the training stimulus. Does anyone have experience of using cold for recovery? and or is there any research out that that people trust on this subject.
Value for money in the cycling market ?
A question to you all and my response to my own question……when was the last time you paid for something that was purely to do with cycling - your bike or your kit that didn’t mean you had to have a blank credit card first or, extend your mortgage for another three years and actually thought WOW I really believe that was money well spent, worthwhile expenditure and think, ……..incredible value for money ?? This afternoon was/is possibly the very first time that I can honestly say that: yes, I have spent money well, on something worthwhile and incredible value for money within a cycling context. I had the pleasure of spending a couple of hours with Phil Burt and had an updated bike fit. I went with the absolute expectations of: this is wrong, that is wrong, you need to change this and of course, change that AND, if you were to buy this/these you’d be more comfortable, produce more power/watts and of course be faster. In less than 2 hours, I had spent ZERO (other than the cost of the bike fit session) but yet, the changes that have been made - I am hoping and I’m pretty confident will make fundamental differences in terms my cycling life. THREE changes were recommended by Phil after the traffic light system that was reporting my bike fit data (as was) were showing as amber. Having made two primary changes within a couple of minutes, the data had changed from amber to green…….. Once the weather improves, I will be out on my bike and I cannot wait to see the difference(s) the changes recommended actually make. Having had MANY bike fits and never really feeling as if I had been given correct advice and having changed (on numerous occasions): handlebar stem, width of handlebars, at least 2 different stories/suggestions around crack length, saddle height (up and down) backwards/forwards AND so many different saddles and ALWAYS reverting back to where I was PRE bike fit, I can honestly say that I won’t be doing the same this time as even in the couple of minutes of riding time, I could feel the improvements in both pedal stroke and sitting position.
Rain on Zwift
I know it might make the experience a little more realistic, but really, does there have to rain and thunder and lightening on Zwift
