This Wednesday I’m sharing Video #1 of our Intro to AcroYoga series — the first of 11 progressive lessons I’ll be posting every Wednesday here on the wall.
We start where we always start in AcroYoga: the wrists and self-awareness.
🖐 Wrist Warm-Up
Our wrists take a lot of load in AcroYoga, so a simple, consistent warm-up is one of the most important habits you can build. These are basic movements you can return to anytime — before class, before a jam, or even at home.
💬 Acro Chat: Accurate Self-Assessment
In this chat we talk about:
- Checking in with your body — physically and emotionally
- Listening to energy levels, aches, or mental fatigue
- Knowing that it’s always okay to say no
- Working safely in groups of three (Base, Flyer, Spotter)
- Using “down” as a universal safety word
- Hands-on spotting, and the importance of consent when spotting shoulders and hips
AcroYoga is a shared practice. Clear communication and consent are part of what keeps it safe, supportive, and fun.

- How did your wrists feel after the warm-up?
- Anything from the Acro Chat resonate with you?
Thanks for being here. We’ll keep building — one class at a time.
