Most recovery spaces focus on sobriety; very few focus on identity healing, shame release, and self-forgiveness. You are sober! Now that drugs no longer numb your emotional being, how do you sort out reality and cope with all these new feelings? Your past does not define your future. This is not a place for perfection. This is a place for healing. You don’t have to be proud of your past to build a future. You don’t have to hate who you were to become who you’re meant to be.
