Conflict resolution God's way
Today I want to share a simple example of what healthy, God-honoring communication can look like in moments of tension. In a recent group interaction, I experienced something that felt uncomfortable to me. Instead of reacting in frustration or staying silent and carrying it internally, I chose to communicate directly and respectfully about my experience. My message was not about attacking anyone’s character or assigning shame. It was simply about being honest: “This is how that moment impacted me.” What I’ve been learning is that conflict doesn’t have to lead to division or avoidance. It can be handled through clarity, humility, and accountability on both sides. We are responsible for how we show up, and we are also responsible for how we communicate when something doesn’t feel right. Healthy communication says: - I honor my experience enough to speak it - I honor the other person enough not to attack them - I leave space for accountability without control or condemnation This is something we all must continue to practice, I’m grateful for growth in this area. Peace doesn’t always mean silence; it can also mean truth spoken with love and self-respect. God never called us to abandon ourselves in relationships. What does God-honoring communication look like to you in moments of tension or misunderstanding?
