You guys inspire me!
So this happened yesterday and im so proud of myself…
At the rehabilitation centre they made me a nifty little tool to help me hold my brushes. Most of it will be covered by my insurance but i had to pay a whopping 1,40 euros out of pocket ;-). I was reaching for my wallet when my occupational therapist suggested writing an official receipt since it might become ‘a professional expense” which means it is tax deductible. I felt a chuckle and was ready to make a derogatory remark about my art, as im used to do, but then i thought of this group. I remembered some of you saying you started calling yourself artist and choosing to believe in your craft etc. And it changed something. I suddenly found myself thinking: yes, it is a small amount but that doesnt make it right to talk badly about my art… there really is no need to do so…
So, i swallowed my initial response and accepted the receipt with all the grace and confidence i could muster.
i might frame it…
